ASCII art is a technique that uses computer fonts & characters (as defined – apparently – by the ASCII Standard from 1963!).
The term is now however loosely used to refer to text based art in general.
You would normally create ASCII art with a text editor but the asciigraphy iphone app takes the strain out of all that typing!
The app is so simple to use – just point & click for some amazing text based images see above for an example from earlier today.
