Knox Bronson – Pixels at an exhibition and iphone photography

Knox Bronson is a composer, designer, artist and also the curator of Pixels at an exhibition a global repository for the finest works of iphone photography and art.

Knox’s gallery shows have received critical acclaim from art lovers and collectors around the world even being featured in the NY Times, Bay Cities Newsgroup papers, and USA Today.

What is iphonography?

Iphone photography (or iphonography / iphontography as it has become known) is an emerging underground art form and at its most basic it is simply photographs taken with the iphone although there is much more to this new medium than just taking snapshots.

Iphone photography has become increasingly popular despite and perhaps to a degree because of the limitations of the iphones camera and also because the iphone is so readily to hand for artists and photographers alike.

Iphonography has but one rule -images taken on the iphone must be manipulated only on the iphone (and there are a variety of apps which provide on the go photographic effects and filters – a popular example being ‘Chase Jarvis’s Best camera App‘).
