New York artist David Kassan created the following images with ‘Brushes’ iphone and ipad app! The app allows David to re-create the effects of paint on canvas.
British author and broadcaster Stephen Fry (he is a truly wonderful man and an inspiration just watch QI although if your a Christian you may not like this particular choice) has helped to give Mr Kassan’s work more exposure through his tweets on Twitter!
David even creates portraits in Manhattan’s crowded Washington Square Park on his iPad!
‘I was initially going to use the iPad as a demonstration tool for my previous work, which is detailed painted examinations of people.
‘I wanted to showcase to potential collectors how my work was created and the processes I go through to create it.
‘So for the past few weeks this program has really allowed me to become far more inventive with my art.’
Mr Kassan had worked with brushes on the iPhone before but saw the potential of the size and definition of the new ipad screen…
‘I had used Brushes on the iPhone, but this is a different ball game altogether,’
‘This seems to be more about sculpting the painting and it gives the artist more of a feel for the subject matter and composition.
I’m sure you will agree that his work is stunning and even more so for some of it being painted with the ipad and Brushes
